Gurkha IET naming conundrum resolved

Tulbahadur Pun VC has caused confusion in rail circles, with some publications suggesting the name is carried by Class 800 No. 800006 and others, including Rail Express, No. 800022, with one even suggesting both units carry the same name! Although the former was originally chosen to be the recipient

(and had the name vinyls applied) it was withdrawn from service at short notice and the latter was drafted in to perform the honours at London Paddington on June 23 instead. GWR has confirmed to Rail Express that the vinyls on

No. 800006 have since been removed.
