BLS to tour Blackpool tram system

THE Branch Line Society is planning a tour of more unusual tram lines on the Blackpool system using a ‘Balloon’ double-decker tram on January 30. With the support of Blackpool Heritage Trams, the tour is booked to cover much rare track, including Starr Gate depot, where different roads to previous visits have been requested. In addition, using a diesel powered vehicle, a rare move on a dewired road is planned. Tour participants must be a member of the BLS, which is renowned for organising itineraries featuring non-passenger lines, loops and sidings.
