EMR DEPOT UPGRADE
WORK is underway on a £2 million upgrade at East Midlands Railway’s (EMR) Nottingham Eastcroft depot, which provides the majority of the day-to-day maintenance of the EMR Regional fleet, currently comprised of 69 trains. The investment will allow the depot to stable more trains at a time, install additional fuel pumps, and upgrade the train cleaning facilities. The upgraded Eastcroft, expected to be completed in June, will not only help to deliver the current timetable, but will support the ongoing development of EMR regional services and provide more capacity for additional three-carriage trains which will be introduced in 2022.
