Second Class 483 arrives at Cynheidre

LONDON Transport Traction Group’s (LTTG) Class 483 EMU No. 483008 has arrived at the Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway’s base at Cynheidre. The two cars arrived on February 17 and join fellow former Isle of Wight (and ex-LT 1938 tube stock) classmate No. 483006. LTTG plans to use one of the cars from 483008 to carry batteries in order that the EMUs may operate on heritage railways; but the unit requires significant work before it can be made accessible to the public, so it has been placed on an isolated section of track for the time being.
