TransPennine Express bi-mode unit No. 802207 came to grief on the night of March 21/22 during an apparently slow speed manoeuvre at Heaton depot, Newcastle. The cause of the incident, which saw PDTS No. 831207 derailed and tipping on its side at a roughly 45 degree angle, was under investigation as Rail Express went to press. Ian Lyall
