‘OO’ Class 320 from a kit

-

‘N’ gauge modellers will be well served with Mk.3 power door stock this year, with the arrival of the Class 320 and Class 321 from Revolution Trains (see pages M14 and M24) and a Graham Farish Class 319 in various guises due soon from Bachmann.

Like the Class 455 and Class 456 EMUs, the only way to model a Class 320 or Class 321 in ‘OO’ gauge is to build one of the excellent Bratchell Models kits. This model of an SPT Class 320 was constructed from such a kit in 2003, equipped with LED running lights, three decoders and a Bachmann Class 25 drive bogie. The shells were assembled using a mix of CA glue, Plastic Weld liquid poly cement and finished with numerous additional components including a Hurst Models pantograph.
