NEWLY arrived at the Wishaw yard of Railway Support Services is

No. FWDX 0002, a three-axle American switcher that was built in 2015 by Curry Rail Services using part of the frame and a single bogie from a SD40 diesel. Fitted with a CAT engine, the 100-ton (US) machine is rated at 475hp and has previously seen use in both the United States and Canada. When noted, it was loaded on two trailers, with the body separated from the bogie.
