Staycation Express stayed for 2022

ON April 4, Rail Charter Services, part of Jeremy Hosking’s portfolio of railrelated companies, announced that it will not be operating the regular charter along the Settle-Carlisle line, previously branded as Staycation Express, this year, due to less than favourable market conditions. The announcement suggests the Staycation Express will return in 2023. It is not clear what will happen to the HST set, including power cars Nos. 43058 and 43059, which was turned out in a very fetching green and cream livery last year.
