NR ON UKRAINE MISSION
NETWORK Rail staff have come to the aid of rail colleagues in Ukraine by delivering a convoy of vehicles loaded with equipment to help keep the railway running. Ukrainian Railways, Ukrzaliznytsia, requested help via the International Union of Railways (UIC), to provide vital evacuation routes and humanitarian aid. Helped by partners in the supply chain, Network Rail donated four road vehicles, loaded with spares and railway tools, which were delivered on May 16.
Five NR staff drove the vehicles through six countries to Poland, covering some 2000km in three days.
