NETWORK RAIL has published an independent study looking at how maintenance of infrastructure and key assets is carried out in other comparable industries in the UK and across Europe. The findings support the need for maintenance reforms and suggest that greater use of technology, adopting more flexible rostering, and creating multifunctional teams would boost productivity and unlock savings to fund a pay deal.
