Pending tours by the SRPS
THE Scottish Railway Preservation Society is formulating plans for two tours:
Saturday, September 3 – Linlithgow to Settle & Carlisle. This will be dieselhauled from the originating point and picks-ups to Carlisle, where a West
Coast Railways steam machine will take over for the run over the S&C, thence to Preston and Carnforth. The diesel will then return the special to Scotland.
Sunday, October 2 – Linlithgow to Inverness via Aberdeen. Planned traction is the SRPS-based Class 37/4 No. 37403 Isle of Mull, currently helping out on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
