NR HST bags geographic ‘first’ for class

NOT LONG after a pair of Class 68s made history by travelling on the Far North Line (see Headline News, November issue) a Network Rail HST was the first of its type

to traverse the same route in October, as a PLPR infrastructure monitoring train made its way to the most northerly parts of the UK network at Wick and Thurso.
