RAIB PUBLISHES MORE REPORTS
THE Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) published two reports in October. On the 13th it released its findings into the collision between a passenger train and a hand trolley at Challow, Oxfordshire, nearly a year previously, on October 21, 2021. Four days later, the RAIB published its report into the collision between a train and agricultural equipment at Kisby user worked crossing, Cambridgeshire, on August 19, 2021. A total of seven recommendations were made by RAIB, six addressed to Network Rail and the other to the Health & Safety Executive. Three learning points were also identified.
