LNER BUFFET MOVES NORTH

LNER Gresley buffet (RB) No. 1852, presently located at Kirkby Stephen, is to join John Cameron’s two steam locos (Nos. 60009 and 61994) at his new museum in Fife, planning permission for which was approved in October.

CCT FOR NORTH NORFOLK

A NEW arrival at the North Norfolk Railway is Mk.1 CCT No. 94338, which arrived from the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway during October as a replacement for No. M94125, which is in very poor condition.

HORSEBOX TURNED GENERATOR FOR NYMR

FORMER Horsebox No. 96300, which was converted in 1970 to Generator Van No. ZDB 975056, before entering preservation at the Llangollen Railway, where it was used in its ‘Berwyn

Belle’ dining train, is to move to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The 1950s-built vehicle will be used as a generator van in its Pullman diner set, replacing the open wagon with a generator strapped to it which has been used during the 2022 season.
