New £24 million station opens at Bromsgrove

-

A new four-platform station opened at Bromsgrove on July 12. The station was constructed via a joint project involving Worcestershire County Council and the West Midlands

Managed by London Midland, the £24 million facility includes an interchange with local bus services, and replaces the town’s existing station, enabling Network Rail to electrify the railway south from Barnt Green (that project is due for completion next year). There is a 350-space car park, a station building with toilets, a ticket desk and retail facility, secured cycle storage, and electric car parking and charging points.
