New Abbey Wood station on course for 2017

Southeastern 376022 approaches Abbey Woods station with the 1107 Cannon Street-Barnehurst on August 4. An engineering train occupies one of the adjacent Crossrail tracks, with Plumstead Tunnel portal to the rear. A new larger station is being build to replace the old one at Abbey Wood, opening to Southeastern passengers in December 2017 and to Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) services exactly a year later.
