West Coast Railway ‘33’ on steam heat charter
Steam leaks from West Coast Railway Company Mk 1s at Salisbury on December 14 2017, with WCRC 33207 Jim
Martin attached to the rear of the charter from London Victoria-Yeovil Junction (hauled by 8F 45212). The steam is from the heating system. Steam heat was removed from British Rail passenger trains in the late 1980s. Class 33s were regular visitors to Salisbury until late in their main line careers.
