‘Digital’ refresh of Northern ‘158s’

The second ‘digital train’ refurbishment of a Northern Class 158 has been completed on 158849.

The two-car diesel multiple unit follows 158845, with interiors similar to the new CAF trains that are being delivered to Northern. The operator plans that all DMUs it is retaining post-2020 will be refurbished to this standard.
