ScotRail sends training ‘43s’ to Brush for overhaul
ScotRail has dispatched the first pair of Class 43 High Speed Train power cars to Brush Traction, Loughborough, for overhaul.
The power cars (43021 and 43145) ran from Inverness on November 13. They have been in Scotland for crew training since being sent off-lease by Great Western Railway.
Two more unrefurbished ‘43s’ arrived in Scotland on November 10, when 43131/137 arrived at Glasgow Works with six Mk 3 coaches previously stored at Ely Potters Group.
The ex-GWR ‘43s’ hauled Trailer First (TF) 41104/130, Trailer Standard (TS) 42030, 42206 and Trailer Guard’s Standard (TGS) 44010/032 north.
