Coat­dyke: The ten- arch, dou­ble-track viaduct, com­pleted in 1861 to bring North La­nark­shire ser­vices into Glas­gow Queen Street, is be­ing strength­ened at a cost of £1 mil­lion.

Dundee: A £400,000 cov­ered area for 120 cy­cles has opened on the north west side of the sta­tion. It was fi­nanced by the city coun­cil, Abel­lio ScotRail and TACTRAN. Ed­in­burgh: The case for ex­tend­ing the tramway north­wards to the Ne­whaven/ Gran­ton water­front re­gen­er­a­tion area will be strength­ened with news of plans for 4,000 new homes in the area.
