LONDON

Poplar: Increased capacity will be needed at the Poplar depot of the Docklands Light Railway, for 14 extra train sets. The layout will be altered to allow for a new housing development over the depot, and for new bridge links over the six- lane Aspen Way to Canary Wharf.

South Kensington: The London Underground routes to Westminster Bridge and Gloucester Road will be 140 years old on December 24. They were built by the Metropolitan Railway.

Sutton: A tram or guided busway to the town centre from South Wimbledon or Colliers Wood Tube stations ( connecting at Morden Road and Belgrave Walk tram stops respectively) is recommended in the latest public consultation conducted by Transport for London. The Sutton link, which will also serve Merton, will support new housing and improve access to jobs and services across both boroughs.
