Renewals contracts for NR routes
Network Rail has awarded up to £7 billion worth of renewals contracts for Control Period 6 (April 1 2019-March 31 2024).
The three deals form the framework to deliver renewals and enhancements in NR’s Anglia, South East and Wessex routes.
J Murphy & Sons has been awarded the Anglia deal, BAM Nuttall Ltd the South East contract, and Geoffrey Osborne Ltd the Wessex deal.
The work will include projects at stations, buildings and civils, electrification, power and signalling, telecommunications and trackwork. There is the option for one-year extensions.
In Anglia the renewals’ estimated value is £340 million£460m, while for enhancements it is up to £810m. For the South East the renewals are £640m-£860m and up to £1.06 billion for enhancements. In Wessex the renewals are valued at £280m-£370m while enhancements are up to £850m.
