Northern receives final SR ‘170/4s’

The final two ScotRail Class 170/4s to move to Northern ran south on January 5.

Three-car 170453 and 170458 are the 15th and 16th trains in the planned cascade, with the latter having already moved to Arriva TrainCare’s Crewe facility for refurbishment.

Additionally, Northern has also received all eight ex-SR Class 158s that were sub-leased north of the border, as well as five two-car Class 156s from SR.
