LNER di­ver­sions run via Ely

En­gi­neer­ing work at Hunt­ing­don forced Grand Cen­tral, Hull Trains and Lon­don North Eastern Rail­way ser­vices to be di­verted via Ely and Cam­bridge over the week­ends of Jan­uary 5/6 and Jan­uary 12/13. GC and HT use Class 180 diesels, while most LNER trains were op­er­ated by High Speed Trains. How­ever, a hand­ful of elec­tric-hauled trains were di­verted, and there­fore hauled by DB Cargo Class 67s. On Jan­uary 5, DBC 67003 hauls the 0548 Ed­in­burgh-Lon­don King’s Cross past Ely Dock Junc­tion.
