GBRf ‘56s’ moved to EMD Longport site

Three GB Railfreight Class 56s are dragged through Kidsgrove on December 20, on their way from storage at UK Rail Leasing’s Leicester depot to ElectroMotive Diesel’s Longport facility. GBRf 66723 Chinook is hauling 56018, 56038 and 56007, which joined 56009/031/032/037/069, 56128, 56311 at the site. GBRf bought 16 Class 56s from UKRL last year, and plans to re-engine them with EMD power units. Apart from 56312 at Peak Forest, no ‘56’ is in traffic yet with GBRf.
