Routes into Rail to showcase career opportunities
With increased demand for skilled workers in the rail industry, a new online platform seeks to showcase the wide range of careers available in the sector.
The Routes into Rail website was set to launch on November 27 (after this issue of RAIL went to press), with more than 700 vacancies from across the railway - including engineers, data analysts, project managers and customer service assistants.
Routes into Rail is also intended to support the sector’s objectives to increase the diversity of the workforce, by reaching out to all communities and disadvantaged groups.
The website is co-ordinated by the National Skills Academy for Rail (NSAR) and is funded by Network Rail, HS2 Ltd, Amey,
Porterbrook, the Railway Industry Association, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, and VolkerWessels.
