EWR to gather environment data

East West Railway Company is carrying out environmental surveys to gather data on plant and animal life, as well as environmental and historical features, on the proposed railway between Cambridge and Oxford. It has also published initial baseline maps on its community hub.

Work will take place throughout 2021, with a consultation planned early next year. The data from the surveys will inform an Environmental Impact Assessment which will be published when EWR submits detailed plans - expected to be in 2022.
