Track replaced on Esk Valley Line

Network Rail has started to replace track dating back to the 1940s on the Esk Valley Line between Middlesbrough and Whitby.

More than 1.5 miles of track are being replaced at Commondale, Castleton Moor and Danby, with work due to be completed on February 21 (after this issue of RAIL went to press).
