Mid-Norfolk readies for April start
D1933 pauses at Wymondham Abbey on the Mid-Norfolk Railway. The heritage railway was forced to run a static Mother’s Day event at Dereham station this year (on March 27), due to overrunning engineering works. The start of passenger services has been delayed until April 30, so that a steam service can run over the May Bank Holiday weekend before a normal timetable can resume using a mix of steam and diesel locomotivehauled trains, supported by diesel multiple units.
