Cyril Bleasdale

Former InterCity Director Cyril Bleasdale OBE died on March 27, aged 87.

Having joined the railways as a booking clerk in 1950, he later occupied several senior management roles under British Rail including general manager of the London Midland Region and as head of both ScotRail and BR’s InterCity sector before retiring in 1994.
