Track renewed at Bishops Stortford

A quarter of a mile of track and five sets of points have been renewed at Bishops Stortford, to reduce delays and improve the reliability of services between London and Cambridge, Stansted Airport and King’s Lynn.

Improvement work will continue on various weekends until June to renew a further 11 sets of points, renew half a mile of track, re-timber and re-rail two bridges, and to complete platform works at Bishops Stortford station.
