Sainsbury takes new role at Serco

Serco has appointed Joel Sainsbury as its new director of rail technical services, based in Derby. He will replace Richard Hobson who is retiring at the end of April after 11 years with the company.

Sainsbury began his career at AEA Technology Rail and then progressed in Rolls-Royce Submarines before latterly being commissioning manager of a chemical manufacturing facility in the UK. He joined Serco nine months ago to lead its engineering team.
