Deltic’s SVR festival date

‘Deltic’ D9009 Alycidon has joined a growing guest list of visiting locomotives for the Severn Valley Railway’s Spring Diesel Festival on May 19-22. Appearing courtesy of the Deltic Preservation Society, the Class 55 will join Class 44 D4 Great Gable and Class 46 D182 alongside a selection of traction from SVR’s home fleet including Class 50s, ‘52s’, ‘33s’, Class 14 ‘Teddy Bears’ and a Class 17 Clayton. 31466 is also due to appear, having remained at the SVR since visiting for its Autumn Diesel Gala in 2021. Currently running in BR Blue livery, D9009 is one of six Deltics in preservation.
