Great Malvern to receive makeover
Restoration of the Victorian features at Great Malvern’s Grade 2 listed station is included in a £4 million renovation project that began in early April and will take a year. The platform canopies will be repaired, and ornate ironwork repainted.
The 1860 Worcester & Hereford Railway buildings, now managed by West Midlands Trains, still retain many of their original features.
Last year, £8,000 was spent on getting the station clock working again after three years.
