Thameslink ‘Try a Train’ days return
Thameslink has resumed its ‘Try a Train’ days for young people with autism or learning difficulties.
‘Try a Train’ aims to give young people who find travel daunting the confidence and experience to use trains more independently. Participants visit a station, take a train ride, and hear advice on how to travel safely.
Central Bedfordshire College students were the first in more than two years to take part in the programme, which had to be suspended in 2020 because of COVID restrictions.
The scheme restarted in time for World Autism Awareness Day on April 2.
