AWC cleaners resume strike

Avanti West Coast’s 300 train cleaners returned to the picket lines over the weekend of April 9/10, in fresh pursuit of their claim for an increase on their £9.68 an hour wage.

The strikers, who are employed by French multinational-owned Atalian Servest, have won the support of a number of MPs along the route. Their resolved dispute has been running since the start of the year.
