Test run for ‘43’ power cars

Rail Adventure power cars 43465 and 43468 escape the confines of Eastleigh Works on March 29, with the 1105 test run to the rarely used Platform 2 at Fareham. The Munich-based operator bought eight off-lease power cars in April 2021. Six of them have been doubled up to form three double locomotives, with the remaining two used for spares. The ‘43s’ are intended to be used to deliver new trains from Europe to the UK, and as traction vehicles at test centres in central Europe.
