EMR staff show off new uniforms

More than 2,000 East Midlands Railway staff have new uniforms - and they have been given the chance to choose what suits them best.

They were first seen by customers on May 3. Before then, customer service employees, drivers and on-train staff took part in a catwalk event at Nottingham station to show off their new garb.

Some will wear name badges featuring flags to demonstrate they can help people who do not use English as their first language.

Staff had input into the uniform design, which was developed by Debbie Johnson, who has worked with Eurostar and the Virgin Atlantic airline.
