Class 180s to run Summer Specials

-

East Midlands Railway is to use Class 180 trains for its Skegness Summer Special services this year - offering passengers more luggage space on trips to the Lincolnshire resort.

Normally deployed on inter-city services to London St Pancras, the ‘180s’ will replace Class 156 trains that operate the majority of services on the Poacher Line.

The summer specials will also begin at Derby this year, instead of Nottingham. They will run every Saturday from July 23 to September 10, with departures from Derby at 0758 and return services from Skegness at 1142 and 1344.
