DRS transports Hunterston waste

Following closure of the Hunterston Nuclear Power Station in Scotland back in January, no time has been wasted in the decommissioning of the facility, with Direct Rail Services being contracted to work the trains carrying spent waste for processing at Sellafield. On April 19, DRS 68017/018 are on the freight-only single line between Ayr and Mauchline at Auchincruive, while working the 1222 Hunterston-Sellafield.
