GA is wildlife-friendly

Four Norfolk stations have received a wildlife-friendly accreditat­ion to recognise the work of volunteers to support nature. Greater Anglia worked with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust at Brundall Gardens, Cantley, West Runton and Thetford.

Bridge replacemen­t

The life-expired 1853 Tanners Bank bridge on the Tyne & Wear Metro’s Tynemouth to North Shields line is to be replaced during a 14-day closure from July 16-29, in a £3 million project.

Churchill’s £20m deal

Churchill Group is bedding into a five-year contract, worth more than £20 million, to clean Eurostar trains at St Pancras Internatio­nal and maintain Temple Mills depot.

Tarry joins NR

Network Rail has appointed Mark Tarry as Supply Chain Operations Director. He succeeds Rob Morton, who recently became MD for Route Services.

Northern has introduced dog-watering facilities at 138 of its staffed stations.
