New platform at LMRIC

Plura Innovations/Polydeck, in co-operation with partners ECSL and CSM Projects, will be supplying a full glass reinforced plastics (GRP) ‘Platform Zero’ rail platform and ramp to the venue, ahead of Rail Live 2022.

This is a permanent fixture, offering a predicated lifespan in excess of 100 years.

All elements of Platform Zero are manufactured in the UK, and incorporate a GRP substructure and a GRP POLYplatform twin-sore deck that includes GRIPfast surfacing, tactile strips and nosing. Drainage is built into the platform structure.

GRP is a highly sustainable material. Unlike the production of steel, the pultrusion process used to manufacture GRP releases minimal volatile compounds and uses around 75% less energy.

GRP is also long-lasting, reducing the need for replacement. And it is 100% recyclable.
