Night Tube returns on Jubilee Line

-

Night Tube services resumed on London Underground’s Jubilee Line on Friday and Saturday nights from May 20.

Having been suspended across the entire LU network since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, the return of Night Tube on the Jubilee Line follows its restoration on the Central and Victoria Lines in November 2021. Northern and Piccadilly Line Night Tube services will be the next to follow later this summer.

It comes as ridership on the Tube network has now reached as high as 80% of pre-pandemic levels at weekends. Transport for London said the move would provide a further boost to the capital’s economic recovery from COVID-19.

However, strike action by the RMT union over new driver rosters remains ongoing.

TfL said it is running a normal or regular Night Tube service on the Victoria and Central Lines each weekend, with at least two trains per hour (tph).

It anticipates running at least three tph on the Jubilee Line and says it is “working hard to address resourcing issues” for the Northern and Piccadilly Lines.
