New green designs for Cubbington

HS2 has released updated designs for the Cubbington area in Warwickshire, to include a V-shaped open cutting with grass slopes instead of concrete retaining walls.

The new design will raise the trackbed by around two metres, reducing the amount of concrete and steel used in construction by 60,000m3.

Two green overbridges will also provide a wildlife crossing and habitats.
