NRT correction
In extolling the virtues of the Gunnislake branch (Table 137) in my National Rail Timetable review (RAIL 957), for some inexplicable reason I referred to PlymouthCalstock as being the western end of the ex-Southern route, even saying trains reverse there! That should, of course, have read Bere Alston.
Finally, I forgot to mention Great Western Railway’s new train to Axminster, filling a gap after South Western Railway withdrew a peak train last year.
The 1631 Barnstaple-Exeter Central extends to Axminster (arr 1828) on MonFri. See Tables 136 & 153.
