Derby firms team up for contracts
Derby-based rolling stock company Loram and consultant AEGIS have agreed to work together to secure contracts for re-engineering vehicles and retrofitting European Train Control System technology.
The Memorandum of Understanding helps them better target customers such as Network Rail, Transport for London, HS2 and rolling stock owners.
French-owned AEGIS has been operating in the UK for 25 years, while Loram took over the Railway Vehicle Engineering Limited (RVEL) business at the former Derby Technical Centre after its predecessor Fragonset went out of business.
