Final Brighton-Bristol direct service

Ninety-two years of direct services between Brighton and Bristol came to an end on May 13, as Great Western Railway 158767/798 departed the South Coast with the 1702 to Bristol Parkway. Passengers making the full journey now have a choice of travelling either via London or Portsmouth.
