Murals brighten up Birmingham

-

A new mural was unveiled at Birmingham International on May 24 by (left to right) Avanti West Coast Regional Growth Manager Craig Mortiboys, Station Manager Rebecca Stone, Tim from Brinks Contemporary Art, and Heart of England Community Rail Officer Julia Singleton-Tasker. Funded by AWC, the artwork is part of efforts being made to decorate key stations ahead of this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. To cope with increased demand, AWC will be running three trains per hour (up from the current two) from London Euston-Birmingham New Street between July 28-August 8, to provide an extra 10,000 seats for each day of the Games. During this period, there will be two trains per hour running to Manchester Piccadilly instead of three.
