More volunteer groups on SWR
South Western Railway has created two new Community Rail Partnerships, covering the Alton-Ash Vale-Wanborough route and part of Kingston and meaning that more than 80 of its stations are in the care of volunteers.
Other adoption groups have recently started up at Ashurst and Havant (Hampshire), Bookham, Effingham Junction, Egham, Milford and Witley (Surrey), St Margarets, Barnes, Putney and Richmond (London), and Hamworthy (Dorset).
