CrossCount­ry: Bristol and Cardiff to Birmingham. Services run beyond Birmingham and Bristol.

Great Western Railway: Bristol to Worcester, Cheltenham to London Paddington, and Bristol to Cardiff.

Transport for Wales: Cardiff to Cheltenham.

West Midlands Trains: Birmingham and Worcester and Bromsgrove.

Services are a mix of fast inter-city and inter-regional services, limited-stop regional services, local allstation­s trains, and high-frequency, all-stations services in metropolit­an areas.

Freight: In addition, there are freight flows that include container trains serving Wentloog in South Wales via Bristol Parkway (for London) and via Lydney and Gloucester (for the East Midlands). Steel traffic runs between South Wales and the West Midlands via Lydney and Gloucester. Constructi­on materials flow from Avonmouth, near Bristol. China clay comes from beyond Bristol north to the Potteries. Nuclear traffic runs, too.
